Happy Birthday, kittens!

Last week the wild and elusive Maxine Louise made an appearance on the blog.
This week, it's Fiona Marie's turn.

She was pretty much the teeeeniest kitten ever!

From the start she's been the lead investigator in our house.
Got a book that needs sniffing?  She's on the job!

One of her hobbies is to attempt to smash her face inside this toy,
and push it all around the house.
Plus, look how tiny!

As you can see, tiny Fi has pretty much stayed, well, tiny.
We estimate she weighs half of what Max weighs.

But for someone so tiny, she sure has a lot of rules:

  1. You may pet the Fi, but you may not pick her up.
  2. You may retrieve the Fi's toys from inside the pantry, once she meows and meows and meows.
  3. You may repeat the above action.
  4. You may not act surprised when the Fi bites when she is done with you.  You have been dismissed.

We tell her she's lucky she's so cute.

Happy Birthday, little bears!

{ do you celebrate your pet's birthdays? }

Pssst! - Thank you all for your kind words about our little Julio.  It's been really hard on my mom, but we have 17 years of wonderful memories to look back on.  He had a really good, long life.

Aww, Fiona is gorgeous! I love the markings on her head. (ps I love that your cats have middle names). I think my cat Jasmine may have adopted her rules as well... especially #1 and 4.

We haven't celebrated our cats' birthday in a long time - they were born in June, and we usually visit my parents during the summer so the cats stay with Davis's parents out east. But the last time we were together for their birthday they got a little wet-food cake decorated with fish treats and a candle. :) I wore a party hat. Jasmine was unimpressed. I think I have pictures somewhere - I may have to unearth them and blog about it.

Happy Birthday little kitties! They grow fast don't they!

I absolutely do celebrate kitty bdays. I'm not sure exactly what date it was, so I proclaimed it to be the 4th of July (for no particular reason other than I would remember it!)

Adorable as always. Gotta love those rules!

BABIEESS!! I love that one of her on the stairs. My cat does that, but only when he is preparing an ambush (of me).

oh my goodness i love her. sometimes jay-z dismisses people by play-biting. i think we should set them up. also, since we adopted jay-z and dont know his birthday, we dont track it. kind of sad, actually!
