Well kiddos, this was one busy weekend. My college roommate is in town visiting, and with some lovely weather finally upon us, we decide to hit 4 (four. F-O-U-R!) craft fairs/street festivals.
 (My feet really hurt.)

{ Among many other things we... }

...saw a parrot out for a stroll with his owner in West Seattle....

....found Parisian style macaroons at Bakery Nouveau....

...ate some delicious seafood specials at the Ballard Seafood Fest...

...visited the spectacular Chihuly glass bridge in Tacoma....

...and discovered this incredible machine in front of Venue in Ballard.

{ what adventures have found you lately? }

Just stopping in to wish everyone a wonderful weekend! It's been a super hectic week around here, and I'm super glad it's almost over.

The lovely Erika of the amazing blog Tiptoe Butterfly handed out this award to her readers last week. It's so sweet I had to share.

Thanks, Erika!

I'll be spending this weekend running around Seattle with my amazing college roommate who's in town visiting. I'm so happy she's here!

{ what are you up to this weekend? }

There's really only one thing to do on a super-hot day like today.

{ Nap. }

I came home one day from work to find they'd overrun the hubbers. They'd been there so long his arms were falling asleep.

How is that comfortable??

Very excellent at hiding.

They really like sleeping on him.

Messing up the sofa.

Not even the zesty aroma of Doritos can get in the way of a good nap.

There are only two rules in Nap Club:

1. You do not talk about Nap Club.

2. You do not talk about Nap Club. (And don't wake us up, neither!)

{ do you ever sneak a cat nap? i know i do :D }

I'm feeling very nostalgic for the past summers I've spent in Europe. Soft pink and turquoise feels so Parisian to me.

Here are some of my favorites that remind me of that great city.

"Balloons - Original Signed Fine Art Photograph" by alicebgardens

"Vintage PINK DRESS Silk Shantung" by CarolMai

"White Pearl and Bead Embroidered Blue Felt Earrings - Winter in Paris" by PookieandPierre

"Paris Photo - Guimauve a La Cerise (Cherry Marshmallows)" by littlebrownpen

"PEACOCK FEATHER pumps PEEP TOE never worn" by iloveswift

Put these all together and you'd have the perfect Parisian day, no?

{ Where is your mind today? }

Last night we went to my cousin's fireworks extravaganza. For the last 10 years, his family has put on a show to rival any professional set up.

 It was also a great opportunity to mess around with my camera's white balance feature. ; )

{ Here are some of my favorite shots. }

{ what did you do this weekend? }

A friend of mine requested I put together this (very specific) treasury for her. Enjoy!

Happy Independence weekend, to all my American friends, and happy Canada Day to all my dear Canadians!

to all the rest

{  happy friday! }

A few weeks ago, Krystal commented on this wwKw, asking my opinion on harem pants. Weeeell, to be perfectly honest, I've never in life considered wearing harem pants. But I did decide to do some research. And what did I find, to my complete surprise...CROPPED harem pants! Even us shorties can wear these! So here are my three interpretations on how to wear yourself some cropped harem pants.
