On Friday, after a seriously long day at work, Tsuki of LittleGrayFox and I headed into the city to visit Schmancy's annual plush extravaganza Plush You.

Plush artists from all over the globe displayed their phenomenal creations, covering every square inch of the shop.

I have my eye on that plaid kitty...

Cheer up, Sooks.  It's Schmany -- not the dentist!

So much creativity in such a tiny space!

If I were Rockefeller, you'd be MINE!

If you find yourself in Seattle one day, you MUST stop in and visit Schmancy.  I don't think there is a greater concentration of cuteness per square foot anywhere else in the city.

{ how was your weekend? }

Pssst!  Ivars is the greatest rainy weekend treat EVER!

Things they are a-changing around here, in my "real" job anyways.  But never fear -- it's actually a good (even great) thing.  But it's upheaval.  And change.  And DETAILS.  blargh.

So today's Fashion Friday is coming to you in easily digested bite size form.

Remember this sweater?

Well it's on clearance now.  (You're welcome  : P .)

I am dying dying dying over these.

Maybe they'd distract from my (now so obviously not intentional) two toned hair color?

Newest nail polish obsession:

I have big plans to get my nails did at their Seatac airport salon, when I fly out for an upcoming wedding.
(thanks to Katie for indoctrinating me.  : P  )

Don't forget to start thinking about your Look for our upcoming Virtual Fashion Show (stiiiiiiill needs a better name! ).

Get all the deets here.

{ happy friday all! whachoo up to this weekend? }

Hi.  My name is Kelli.  And I'm a paper ephemera addict.

I have dozens of boxes stashed away, filled to the brim with scraps and bits and nonesense that I just can't bear to part with (even though I think the hubbers says he will never, EVER move them again) .  The past few days I've been sifting through, amazed at the utter random-ocity of my collection.'

So naturally, I thought I'd share some of that with you.

 Receipts, tickets, sugar packets, maps, a phone card, kinder egg leavin's - from Italy, London and Paris.  No little detail was too mundane to overlook.  Even the sugar seemed happier across the pond.

A high school friend and I used to swap plain folders during the classes we had together, and create complicated doodles for each other.  We've since lost touch, but I kept my folders.  I wonder if she has hers?

I buy old postcards at flea markets.  Boring postcards.  I love 'em.  (Don't judge me.)

Train tickets from a summer class I took in Orvieto, Italy.  Yeah, I went shopping in Florence.  A lot.

One of the first photos I've ever taken with a manual SLR.  High school beginning photo class!

A random polaroid from freshman year in college.  I dont' know who this is, why I shot it or why I've since KEPT it, but there it is.  But I do recognize that as the tangled mess of cords beneath my desk.

A page from a scrapbook I have virtually no memory of compiling. I recognize (vaguely) everything inside, but WHEN did I make this??  Creepy.

This is the stuff that makes me really happy.  Each little scrap is a memory (if only a partial, fuzzy one....).  It probably makes me a weirdo, but I'm comfortable with that.  It's my freak flag, and I'll fly it proudly.  : P

{ do you keep these kinds of things? }

I was messing about on Etsy's Pounce feature yesterday, and let me tell you, it was rocking my world!

Here's some new-to-me finds.

" Stitched Heart - cute cross-stitch for your wall " by GeorgicaDesigns

The colors!  THE COLORS!  Cheerful, sweet and bright.  Hooray!

" Pink Robin / Original Collage " by oelwein

I love the marriage of geometric and natural design.  Plus, how amazing is that birdie sketch?!

" Take me for a walk " by sarahjanestudios

I'm pretty sure this is what it would be like if I ever decided to harness up Max and take her for a stroll.

" Dishes I'd Rather be Doing - Tea Towel " by dearcolleen

Hahhahahahaha!  Punny and cute.  What more can you ask from a dish towel?

" Mini box pouch - mint check and needle felted hedgehog " by seabreezestudio

That cute little hedgie is needle felted!  Such a sweet little detail. (And of course - look, PLAID!)

{ score any sweet new finds lately? }

A bit of a bumpy start to the week here.  Things seem to be changing around me as quickly as the leaves, and I'm having a hard time keeping up.
(I'm reeally going to cherish the year that autumn doesn't bring drama drama drama into my life. I swear.)

This beautiful print lives here.

As promised, here's the deets on our first ever Virtual Fashion Show (which REALLY needs a better name. suggestions?) :

Send me a photo of an outfit that best captures your personal style by Wednesday, October 20th.

Include a little description of your look as well (if you like) and I'll post that and link back to your blog.

I'll post everyone's photos on Friday, October 22nd.
(So we all have time to get our creative juices flowing...and um, do the laundry. That sort of thing.)

Remember, it's not a competition, and it's open to everyone.

There's no panel of catty judges here, so fear not!  I'm not a fashion blogger, but I do love expressing myself through color.  Clothes are just another creative outlet for me.  And sharing your personal style is a great way to get to know a little more about each other, doncha think?

{ how have you been bloggy friends?  i've missed you! }

I've had this idea marinating in my head for a little while now.  And a somewhat ill fated expedition to the bookstore led me to discover the most amazing magazine, which only further cemented said idea.

First a little taste of

the only guide to the new season "

This is just a small slice of this amazing pull out section featuring looks from the runways of the most amazing international designers.

But it's these beautiful layouts highlighting some of the magazine's most loved collections of the season, that convinced me of this:

We should have a Virtual Fashion Show,
featuring outfits curated by YOU!

It would be awesome.  Don't you think?

I'd like to get an idea of how many of you lovely, fashionable bloggers might want to participate in such a thing.  I'll work out the details, and post all the information later.  So holla at me in the comments if you're interested!

{ so...how about it? you in?? }

The lovely and talented Stacey of Design Addict Mom (go read it and get your design fix on) recently bestowed this happy little award on my little blog.

And since there can never be enough happy in the world,
here's some things that make me jubilant:

Christmas

(some ornaments from my tree)

via
sprinkles

(I'm having this crazy love affair with them right now. I'm not joking when I say I go through a little bottle in a week.)

wood grain

this song

nail polish

(duh.)

old buildings

peppermint

this spot

via
yarn

fruity drinks on vacation

(ignore the massive plate of nachos in the foreground....)

And now I'd like to pass this onto these lovely bloggers:

List the things that make you happy, and be sure to pass the happy onto others.
