On this rainy, dreary Monday,
I know where I'd rather be.
Tough life, right?

Has it really been nearly 3 months since my last post?
Worst. Blogger. EVER.
I wish I could say I had some great reason for this unplanned hiatus.
But I don't.
Too much stress, not enough happy. Which makes for great whining, but not so fascinating blog posts.
But I have missed this blog.
And I am tired of being too tired to do things. And stuff. (Mostly things.)
So, I'm done with that. Onward and upward. And blogword.

I think it's official.
I've gone completely plaid mad.
These are what I've been working on lately.

The one and only time it's cool to work at an office building in Bellevue.
The Blue Angels are in town for Seafair weekend, and during
the week they shut down I-90 and fly their practice formations over Lake Washington.
And we get to stand on the roof of our building and watch them go by.

Thank goodness overcast days look like this here.
Otherwise I think I'd have lost my mind by now.

It's been a long time since I've updated my Etsy shop.
But I'm working on it. I swear.

I love to use Flickr! Their advanced search options are great and it is full of many talented folks! Plus, you always know whether or not those folks want you "snagging" their stuff! Here are some quick steps you can take to ensure that you won't be accused of stealing pics!
Step 1 - Go to www.flickr.com and click on their "search" button
Step 2 - choose "Advanced Search"
Step 3 - scroll down until you find the "creative commons" section and check the box to "only search Creative Commons content"
Step 4 - enter your keyword and hit search
Step 5 - once the search results pop up, click on "interesting" to find the top photos under that keyword
Step 6 - find the photo you want and be sure to give credit to the photog!
I hope that helped some of you out a bit :) Now on to the pics! These are all photos of things I think of when I think of summer! It's going to be a gorgeous weekend, here in Seattle -- FINALLY! So I'm in the mood for some heat!.....and.....

For their birthday my Mom sent the kittens a box full of toys.
(I know, so spoiled right.)
She also sent the Catsitter DVD collection.
It's footage of birds, mice, butterflies and the like, flitting across the screen.
I was skeptical at first...
...but it totally works!
Fiona doesn't seem to care for it, but the second we pushed play Max was hypnotized.
I think we've created a monster.

It's been a bizarre week in weather here in the PNW.
But you know how the saying goes:
if you don't like the weather...
...wait five minutes.

Will this insanity never end?
We only got three inches, but the frickin' frackin' frigid temperatures kept the roads nice and icy.
(Allilteration win!)
It's beautiful. But....so...cold.

I had maybe a little too much fun editing photos with Picnik.
It was another glorious week to be on the road.
I love my new commute home. I drive straight up into the mountains.
This time it was like driving up into fluffy orange marshmallow clouds.
(Is it weird that I had a serious joy buzz from driving? Probably.)
I think for a little while, I'm going to be swapping my semi regular "Fashion Friday" posts for "Photo Fridays."
I love doing wwKw's and other fashion posts, but unfortunatly they require an amount of time I just can't devote at present.
They WILL be back, though.
And when that happens, I'll host another Virtual Fashion Show to celebrate. Stay tuned, fashion junkies!
