A bit of a bumpy start to the week here.  Things seem to be changing around me as quickly as the leaves, and I'm having a hard time keeping up. 

(I'm reeally going to cherish the year that autumn doesn't bring drama drama drama into my life. I swear.)

Happy Fashion Friday!  I've been experimenting with a lot of new ideas lately, and I thought I'd play nice and share (especially since lots of your awesome blogs have inspired me!).

{ my new fashion loves }

This isn't so much new, but my love of oddly colored nail polishes is growing deeper.  I must find this dark metallic green shade!

This is my nod to fall's animal print trend.  It's just a little touch (and it's something I already own : P), and I love the way it looks paired with plaid. (and we all know how I loves me some plaid.)  I've been wearing it nearly everyday.

 

LittleGrayFox is hosting a blog hop!  I'm always in the mood for new blogs, so this is a great way to scope some interesting reads.

I am weirdly ready to welcome September.  Ordinarily I mourn the passing of August, because it means the dreadful rainy season is fast approaching.  But I'm almost happy it's pouring today.  And I'll be glad to pack away all my fans.  Ruh roh....It's happening...I'm turning into a WASHINGTONIAN!  (Next thing you know I'll be wearing shorts and a tank when it hits 55 degrees.)

I may not have any schooling to head back to, but I still love this time of year.  A sense of anticipation that anything can happen.  A fresh start.  A new page. 

Here's a look at the vintage pieces I'm loving for back-to-school.

I loved chemistry in high school.  I loved making the little atomic drawings, and how precise everything needed to be.  I may not remember much about isotopes and electrons, but this wooden model set would make a cool graphic statement in your home.
