On Sunday we took a bit of drive into the southern boonies.
The Green River Gorge is an impressive site, even more so as it feels like you are driving dead into the middle of nowhere.
Can you believe this is only like 15 minutes from my house?
Also. we cracked up at this sign in downtown Enumclaw.
A chilly day outdoors calls for homemade soup. I even feel warmed up just making it.
(Except for the bit where we had to open a bunch of windows because the onion fumes were making hubbers cry and cry and cry.)
Am I nerd that later I sat down and watched PBS' 25th anniversary of Les Miserables concert? It was like 'unintentional French evening.'
(That makes more sense if you realize I made onion soup.)
{ what adventures found you this weekend? }
this all reminds me of my boyfriends lake house in upstate NY - like UPSTATE UPSTATE NY - i think i could use a lil of this peacefulness and nothingness in my life!

Strangely that gorge of water was channeled by our basement. The rain was so heavy and so loud no one could sleep and my poor husband was up all night making sure we didn't flood : ( - and LOL to onion fumes! You'll probably need an excorsism or a lot of good candles to get rid of those.
Happy Monday!!!
"unintentional italian evening" - love the idea!
you should also check out flaming geyser state park. its like 15 min from your place. not super impresive now that i am an adult and i think the flame is gone. but its still pretty and my favorite park.

Wow, what gorgeous scenery, the view looking down from the bridge is breathtaking and your photos are absolutely awesome.
Whoever wrote that sign was quite the comic, it was just too funny. But maybe in the hectic world we need to be a bit zany every now and then...relieves the tension. :)
Wow how gorgeous!!
That first photo makes me dizzy! But, it is gorgeous. Also I love that sign, it totally rocks...looks exactly like a sign I want to have on my store front one day!
